For Giuliani, that symbol now also becomes a postage stamp: a recognition of the history of an Italian pharmaceutical company founded in 1889 and grown through research, quality, and entrepreneurial vision.

The Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy has issued a commemorative stamp belonging to the thematic series “The Excellence of the Production System and Made in Italy”, dedicated to the pharmaceutical sector and, in particular, to three historic Italian pharmaceutical companies: Giuliani, Recordati, and Menarini.

For Giuliani, the stamp represents a meaningful recognition of a story that began in 1889, when, in the historic Antica Farmacia del Lazzaretto in Milan, Dr. Germano Giuliani created the first formula of Amaro Medicinale Giuliani.

Since then, Giuliani has continued to evolve, building a path that combines tradition and innovation and achieving a position of excellence in dermatology, trichology, and gastroenterology.

The stamp artwork dedicated to Giuliani, designed by Claudia Giusto, features a molecular structure in the foreground: within its various particles appear elements recalling the company’s history and identity, from the historic Amaro Medicinale Giuliani poster to symbols of pharmaceutical research, such as a researcher with a microscope, test tubes, and microorganisms. In the background, the faded silhouettes of a family and a woman evoke the company’s ongoing commitment to public health.

The presentation ceremony took place at the historic library of Palazzo Piacentini, headquarters of the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, during the unveiling of the stamps and the related philatelic cancellation dedicated to the excellence of Italian pharmaceuticals.

This recognition pays tribute to Giuliani’s journey and to all the people who, generation after generation, have contributed to building an Italian company capable of evolving, innovating, and looking toward the future while remaining true to its roots.
