Lettori di schermo e navigazione da tastiera

Il nostro sito implementa gli attributi ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) insieme a varie modifiche comportamentali per assicurare che gli utenti ciechi che usano lettori di schermo possano leggere, comprendere e utilizzare le funzionalità del sito. Non appena un utente con lettore di schermo accede al sito, riceverà un invito ad attivare il Profilo per Lettori di Schermo per navigare e utilizzare efficacemente il sito. Di seguito alcuni esempi su come il nostro sito soddisfa i principali requisiti dei lettori di schermo:

1. Ottimizzazione per lettori di schermo: eseguiamo un processo in background che analizza tutte le componenti del sito per garantire la conformità continua anche durante gli aggiornamenti.    Queste funzionalità sono compatibili con i principali lettori di schermo, tra cui JAWS e NVDA.

2. Ottimizzazione della navigazione da tastiera: il processo in background modifica anche l’HTML del sito e aggiunge funzionalità tramite JavaScript per consentire l’uso da tastiera. Include la possibilità di navigare con i tasti Tab e Shift+Tab, usare le frecce nei menu a discesa, chiuderli con Esc, attivare pulsanti e link con Invio, navigare tra radio button e checkbox con le frecce, e selezionarli con la barra spaziatrice o Invio. Sono disponibili anche menu per la navigazione rapida e il salto dei contenuti premendo Alt+1, o come primi elementi della pagina per chi usa la tastiera. I popup vengono automaticamente messi a fuoco per evitare dispersioni dell’attenzione.

   Gli utenti possono anche usare scorciatoie come “M” (menu), “H” (intestazioni), “F” (moduli), “B” (pulsanti) e “G” (immagini) per accedere rapidamente a specifici elementi.

Profili di disabilità supportati dal nostro sito

• Modalità Sicura per Epilessia: consente alle persone epilettiche di navigare senza rischi di crisi causate da animazioni lampeggianti o combinazioni di colori pericolose.
• Modalità per Ipovedenti: adatta il sito per utenti con problemi visivi come vista deteriorata, visione a tunnel, cataratta, glaucoma e altri.
• Modalità per Disabilità Cognitive: offre opzioni di supporto per utenti con disturbi cognitivi come dislessia, autismo, ictus (CVA), aiutandoli a concentrarsi meglio sugli elementi essenziali.
• Modalità Amica dell’ADHD: aiuta utenti con ADHD e disturbi dello sviluppo neurologico a leggere e navigare concentrandosi meglio, riducendo le distrazioni.
• Modalità per Ciechi: configura il sito per essere compatibile con lettori di schermo come JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver e TalkBack. Questi software sono installati su computer e smartphone, e i siti devono essere compatibili con essi.
• Profilo di Navigazione da Tastiera (Disabilità Motorie): consente alle persone con difficoltà motorie di utilizzare il sito con i tasti Tab, Shift+Tab e Invio. Sono disponibili anche scorciatoie come “M”, “H”, “F”, “B” e “G”.

Ulteriori regolazioni di UI, design e leggibilità

1. Regolazione dei caratteri – gli utenti possono aumentare o diminuire la dimensione, cambiare il font, regolare spaziatura, allineamento, altezza delle righe e altro.
2. Regolazione dei colori – possibilità di scegliere tra diversi profili di contrasto: chiaro, scuro, invertito, monocromatico, e di modificare combinazioni di titoli, testi e sfondi con oltre sette varianti di colore.
3. Animazioni – gli utenti epilettici possono disattivare tutte le animazioni (video, GIF, transizioni CSS) con un clic.
4. Evidenziazione dei contenuti – possibilità di evidenziare elementi importanti come link e titoli, oppure solo quelli attivi o selezionati.
5. Disattivazione audio – utile per chi usa apparecchi acustici e vuole evitare fastidi da audio automatico. Questa opzione consente di silenziare tutto il sito.
6. Disturbi cognitivi – utilizziamo un motore di ricerca collegato a Wikipedia e Wiktionary per aiutare a comprendere significati di frasi, sigle, slang e altro.
7. Funzioni aggiuntive – possibilità di cambiare colore e dimensione del cursore, attivare la modalità stampa, usare una tastiera virtuale e molto altro.

Compatibilità con browser e tecnologie assistive

Il nostro obiettivo è supportare la più ampia gamma possibile di browser e tecnologie assistive, affinché gli utenti possano scegliere gli strumenti più adatti con il minor numero di limitazioni. Our website implements the ARIA attributes (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) technique, alongside various different behavioral changes, to ensure blind users visiting with screen-readers are able to read, comprehend, and enjoy the website’s functions. As soon as a user with a screen-reader enters your site, they immediately receive a prompt to enter the Screen-Reader Profile so they can browse and operate your site effectively. Here’s how our website covers some of the most important screen-reader requirements, alongside console screenshots of code examples:

1. Screen-reader optimization: we run a background process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website. In this process, we provide screen-readers with meaningful data using the ARIA set of attributes. Additional UI, design, and readability adjustments

1. Font adjustments – users, can increase and decrease its size, change its family (type), adjust the spacing, alignment, line height, and more.
2. Color adjustments – users can select various color contrast profiles such as light, dark, inverted, and monochrome. Additionally, users can swap color schemes of titles, texts, and backgrounds, with over seven different coloring options.
3. Animations – person with epilepsy can stop all running animations with the click of a button. Animations controlled by the interface include videos, GIFs, and CSS flashing transitions.
4. Content highlighting – users can choose to emphasize important elements such as links and titles. They can also choose to highlight focused or hovered elements only.
5. Audio muting – users with hearing devices may experience headaches or other issues due to automatic audio playing. This option lets users mute the entire website instantly.
6. Cognitive disorders – we utilize a search engine that is linked to Wikipedia and Wiktionary, allowing people with cognitive disorders to decipher meanings of phrases, initials, slang, and others.
7. Additional functions – we provide users the option to change cursor color and size, use a printing mode, enable a virtual keyboard, and many other functions.

We aim to support the widest array of browsers and assistive technologies as possible, so our users can choose the best fitting tools for them, with as few limitations as possible.
