Pharmaceutical company Giuliani receives another important recognition by winning the Innovation & Research Award in the Dermocosmetics and Trichology sector.

The prestigious Innovation and Research Award was accepted on behalf of Bioscalin® by Giammaria Giuliani, Research & Development executive and member of Giuliani’s Board of Directors, during the Cosmofarma Passion Night, the gala evening dedicated to honoring pharmacists distinguished in their profession and companies that achieved important milestones in innovation.
Bioscalin®, Giuliani’s brand dedicated to hair care and beauty products, received the award “for the interesting topical product, supported by extensive research involving the use of a synthetic molecule capable of increasing and stimulating hair shaft growth and regeneration.”
Bioscalin® Signal Revolution therefore represents another major step forward in Giuliani’s research aimed at identifying new solutions to counter hair loss. This treatment is the result of two discoveries of global significance made by Giuliani laboratories in collaboration with leading hair biology research centers. Thanks to the work of these two entities, researchers identified the existence and localization of OR2AT4 chemosensory receptors within the hair follicle. Giuliani experts subsequently identified and patented the S-R molecule, capable of stimulating these receptors by delivering a signal to the hair.
The 2017 Innovation Award in the Dermocosmetics and Trichology sector therefore represents a major international recognition of the work carried out by Giuliani in the field of dermocosmetics.
